About us
Nano Fabric Company is a leading company in advanced textile technologies and treatment of cotton textiles with nanotechnology to resist germs for medical, domestic, military, service and industrial uses. In addition, the company provides technical, operational and administrative solutions and consultations in this field.

Our History
In 2018, Dr. Khaled Salama and Dr. Reem Aljindan both began applying the chemical treatment process of titanium dioxide nanoparticle to produce an innovative and microbial-resistant textile with unique advantages. As a result, this innovation received two global patents, and the second was granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in April 2022. In 2020, the decided for this innovation to grow and become in the path of commercialization through signing a partnership contract between the Ministry of Education and Imam AbdulRahman bin Faisal University with the Research Product Development Company (RPDC), and in 2022, Eng. Khaled Al-Anzi joined and began forming a start-up company to incubate this innovation and put it on local and international markets. Eng. Khaled also worked on building a market entry strategy, developing a prototype for the production system, and paving the way for the company to attract investment in this sector.
This entity also has contributions to the efforts to achieve the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 in diversifying sources of income and creating local content and technical functions from the innovative, intellectual and technological outputs of Saudi universities.

About Nanotechnology:
Nano is a very small unit of measurement, which is regarded as a one millionth of a millimeter. Nanotechnology refers to the branch of science devoted to changing matter and giving it new properties through the production of newly developed materials in a number of fields and industries, most notably the medical fields, textile industry, military sectors, communications, agricultural sectors and others.
So Nano-treated and microbial resistant textile, whether cotton, polyester, or a mixture of them, are fabrics that have been treated with an internal chemical treatment. The treatment process is carried out by stabilizing titanium dioxide nanoparticle on the surfaces of these textile o be stable and resistant to germs even after washing these textile 50 times.
About Innovation:
The innovation of antimicrobial textile technology through chemical treatment with titanium dioxide nanomaterials, which is a partnership between Imam AbdulRahman bin Faisal University and the Research Product Development Company (RPDC) with the support of the Ministry of Education, which received two patents from the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
Innovative and nanotechnology processed cotton textiles have the ability resist and eliminate microbes and stop their growth on cotton textiles based on the feature of photocatalytic and its effect on microbial growth, which makes titanium dioxide an effective material to achieve antimicrobial properties and does not have a negative effect on the properties and quality of the textile, nor on the texture of the material. Rather, this technique has increased the softness and durability of the textile and reduces reflections and warping.
Titanium dioxide nanoparticle used in the treatment process are safe, known for their many applications and approved by the FDA with the concentrations used, which showed great success after laboratory experiments by inventors at the university, and a great readiness to move to the stage of development and then supply.
